- Puberty Sessions for G6 & 10 – November 8 & 9
At EAIS we care for our students beyond academics and aim to grow healthy young citizens. We know that transitional ages are difficult and that students have questions about the physiological and emotional changes they are undergoing.
We will be holding sessions for grades 6 and 10 (separately) addressing the following topics:
- Grade 6: the onset of puberty, emotional and physiological changes, hygiene, personal space
- Grade 10: emotional and physiological changes, hygiene, personal space
Boys and girls will be separated and the topics will be addressed in an educational, scientific, and respectful way by EAIS professionals who have had experience addressing these topics in a formal environment with students.
We understand that each home is different and that there may be families who wish to take the responsibility in addressing these issues on their own.
Should you wish that your child NOT PARTICIPATE please send a WRITTEN NOTE by Monday November 6 so that the student be removed from the session.
Please expect that after the session students may have questions, so we encourage that you also keep the dialogue open at home.
Elementary students have a fun packed Child’s Day coming up at the end of the month! More information will come soon!!
We are so excited and looking forward to what our talented students have to offer this year at our talent show toward the end of the month! You will receive more information regarding costumes, etc if you student will be participating. And
we will share with our entire EAIS family videos of the entire show!!!
On
Wednesday November 22nd we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in order to foster the qualities of sharing and gratitude with our students and always remembering what we are thankful for and what we can do for others.
Students are asked to bring a food item to share with their classmates and we will enjoy a
dish party in classes during a ZERO period before break time. We will also be doing
activities to express what we are grateful for.
Please be reminded that we will continue a regular school day and students should be in full uniform.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Our football leagues across the school are underway! The end of this month marks the finals! We will send more information soon to invite Elementary parents to watch the finals for our girls and boys teams and of course our darling cheerleaders! Save the date for the week of November 26th!

We are so excited to launch our semester 1 integrated projects beginning the week of November 12th.
Integrated projects involve creating meaningful connections between themes or skills in different subjects and connecting to real life! Students will work together to create amazing products from building new cities, to writing books, to creating board games, and so much more!! We are so excited to see the amazing final products of our students across all grade levels!!!
Students will receive a full orientation to and explanation about each step of the integrated project. All projects include individual and group parts and students will receive enough time to work on the project and all of its components with their groups through their classes.

International Day preparations are underway through social science classes and we are so excited to see the products the week of November 26
th! Students are exploring different countries, cultures and learning beyond their day to day. Invitations will be sent soon!
