Student Life – activities, events, trips, charity
Once we are done with assessment, we will resume trips! Make sure to check the calendar and your email to plan accordingly!
- Donate to Educate, Wednesday Canteen
We are so proud to continue our charity efforts!! There is still time to donate to our Donate to Educate Campaign for school expenses for needy children. And of course, remember that our Wednesday Canteen to raise money for our big charity carnival is on every week!
Weekly we enjoy two homeroom times with our students. This is a special time to express ourselves, have class discussions, clean up and organize our classroom, or just focus on preparing for the day. Once or twice a month we have special homeroom times with prepared activities. This month we look forward to having a look back on the glorious opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum and reflecting on it as well as discussing our monthly theme – Gratitude – and preparing for our Thanksgiving celebrations.
Students in grades 1-5 have a fun packed Child’s Day coming up at the end of the month! The theme this year is The Power of Words and we are so eager to further discuss the strength of our voices on others and ourselves! More details have been sent separately.
We are so excited and looking forward to what our talented students have to offer this year at our talent show toward the end of the month! You will receive more information regarding costumes, etc if your student will be participating. And
we will share with our entire EAIS family videos and pictures of the entire shows!!!
- Spirit Week – November 23- 26
This is the week we all wait for!! EAIS will light up in school spirit with our daily themes! Voting will be the week of November 9
th and we will announce the schedule ASAP so you can start your preparations!!
Our football leagues across the school are underway! The end of this month marks the finals! We will send more information soon to invite Elementary parents to watch the finals!
On
Wednesday November 26th we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in order to foster the qualities of sharing and gratitude with our students and always remembering what we are thankful for and what we can do for others.
Students are asked to bring a food item to share with their classmates and we will enjoy a
dish party in classes. We will also be doing
activities to express what we are grateful for.
Please be reminded that we will continue a regular school day and students should be in full uniform.
*Thursday Nov.27 is a day off for Thanksgiving, enjoy the long weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Academic News
It’s INTEGRATED PROJECT TIME!!
We are so excited to launch our semester 1 integrated projects beginning the week of November 9th.
Integrated projects involve creating meaningful connections between themes or skills in different subjects and connecting to real life! Students will work together to create amazing products from building new cities, to writing books, to creating board games, and so much more!! We are so excited to see the amazing final products of our students across all grade levels!!!
Students will receive a full orientation to and explanation about each step of the integrated project. All projects include individual and group parts and students will receive enough time to work on the project and all of its components with their groups through their classes.
All project material will be available on your platforms once we begin working on them! For now students should just be sure they have joined their integrated project classes.
We hope this is an incredible learning experience for you all!!
- Career Week and G11&12 Internship Day (week of Nov 9)
In TEACHING FOR LIFE it is important to guide our students and expose them to the various fields of study, careers and industries that they may consider in the future. It is also important that our students learn from success stories of families, community members and ELSian graduates. We have a lot planned for all of our students!
Hoping this November is a sweet November!
Thank you for reading!! Remember to come back to this for reference!!
