To access report please follow the instructions:
Copy paste the following link into your browser: (better use Laptop)
http://elsoctober.trook.net/trookv2/
Username:
Password: eais (small letters)
How to read the report:
The report shows a breakdown by grading category for each academic subject. Major subjects are worth 1 credit hour; minor subjects are worth 0.5 credit hours. Students are assessed in the categories of Assessments, Class Participation, Assignments, and Behavior. Details and rubrics for each of these sections can be found in the syllabus and course outline for each subject via the links you were emailed at the beginning of the year.
Students receive grades for each of these categories which combine for a total subject grade.
In all subjects you will find a total grade of I (Incomplete). This is because assessments have not yet been administered or a student was absent. The grade may also not reflect properly if missing assignments have not yet been submitted. Note that grades of INCOMPLETE will reflect in the GPA as I.
*FOR STANDARDIZED TEST PREP in grades 9 and 10 total grade is based 50% on assignments and 50% class participation / behavior. This subject has a GPA of zero and is not included in GPA but reflects in the subjects of English Language and Math as 5% in assignments and 5% in class participation / behavior.
Our grade distribution is broken down as follows:
For all major subjects:
50% Assessment / 30% Assignments / 20% Class Participation (including Behavior)
For Arabic subjects (as per Ministry)
G7&8: 30% Assessments, 20% Class Participation & Behavior, 20% Assignments, 30% Semester Exam
G10&11: 30% Assessments, 25% Class Participation & Behavior, 15% Assignments, 30% Semester Exam
New this year in grading:
Arabic Social Studies is given a weight of 0.5 credits from grades 4-8.
You should expect this year reports as follows:
Official reports are issued 2 times a year (semester 1 and final). In addition, 3 progress reports are sent home this semester.
- Progress 1 will include Assignments, Class Participation
- Progress 2 will include Assignments, Class Participation and Assessment 1
- Progress 3 will include Assignments, Class Participation, and Project
- The Semester Report is the final report and will include all course work noted above and semester exam grade
